Carlos A. Pellegrini Fellowship

The Hong Kong Chapter, through a donation, established the Carlos A. Pellegrini Fellowship in 2012 which was inaugurated in 2013.

The successful nominee will receive a stipend of US$10,000 and spend about two weeks in the US, attend the Clinical Congress of the American College of Surgeons in October, and visit up to three surgical centers, including Professor Pellegrini’s Department in Seattle, Washington.

The nominations will be vetted by the Council of the Hong Kong Chapter and the final selection will rest with the American College of Surgeons.

Eligibility

The Fellowship would initially be for young (less than 45 years of age) Hong Kong or China surgeons with substantial professional experience and academic achievement.

Nomination

Nominations will be called once a year and have to be submitted via recognized hospitals, universities, or medical organizations. Nominations should be accompanied by the nominee’s CV, recent photo and a proposed travel plan listing the centres he or she wishes to visit.
